Our company, «Aceites el Tilo», was born into a humble family that has dedicated its entire life to agriculture and olive growing in the Sierra de las Villuercas (Cáceres), where there is a great olive tradition. The oils obtained from its olive trees transmit all the love for the land cultivated by the Santos Diaz family for generations.
All the knowledge transmitted from generation to generation, together with the new cultivation and extraction technologies, have allowed us to obtain cornicabra monovarietal oils, of high sensory quality and great healthy attributes, the result of the unique and unmatched natural environment of the mountains. of the Villuercas.
The El Tilo farm is located in the Villuercas-Ibores-Jara Geopark, in the northeast of the province of Cáceres, in the autonomous community of Extremadura (Spain). Located at an altitude of 800 meters, the farm has 35 hectares of olive groves where 9,000 olive trees are grown, exclusively of the cornicabra variety.
At El Tilo we practice sustainable agriculture. All the energy for the development of the farm's activities is obtained from solar panels.
Tasting note:
The Cornicabra Linden has a fruity green olive of medium high intensity, with notes of olive leaf and almond, and hints of apple. On the palate, it is somewhat sweet on entry, with sensations of bitterness and itching of medium intensity, very well balanced, and a green almond aftertaste.
