Originally from Asia, this tree is now cultivated in many parts of the world. 

It typically reaches a height of 5 to 10 meters and produces glossy green leaves as well as fragrant white flowers.   Orange flowers are small, white and delicately scented. 

Their scent is pleasant and sweet, often described as fresh, sweet and slightly lemony. 

Orange blossoms are typically harvested in late spring or early summer, when they are at their peak of fragrance. 

The flowers are picked before dawn, when they give off their most intense scent.   The whiteness of the orange blossom symbolizes purity and virginity.
