Lasair Choille- Goldfinch

The Lasair Choille or Goldfinch is one of Irelands most colourful garden birds. Here he is created in textiles using batik and vibrant dyes to capture his hues of red and yellow. This piece is printed on cotton and finished by quilting with free machine embroidery and hand stitching to create a relief effect.
