Like any other honey, the bees collect the nectar of the Manuka flowers and produce honey from it. The special thing about Manuka honey is the MGO content, which can vary in each honey. Our honey is certified with an MGO of 400+. Each jar is made from a sustainable jar and label. Can be used internally and externally. Tip: Can also be used as skin care or complexion. Taste & Quality: Among other things, the taste and consistency determine how high quality Manuka honey is. What does MGO mean? MGO stands for methylglyoxal and is found in high amounts in Manuka honey. This substance is created during the maturation process of the Manuka honey. The nectar of the Manuka plant contains dihydroxyacetone, which converts to methylglyoxal (MGO) as the honey matures. To this day it is not known why this substance is only found in the nectar of the Manuka plant. Each individual Manuka honey can be traced back to the beekeeper based on its MGO. Our Manuka Honey is certified with an MGO of 400+, tested and our premium product from New Zealand. Manuka honey with a content below 400 MGO has the same effect as normal blossom honey.
