SELEZIONE VIGNE VECCHIE The “Trebbiano di Lugana Turbiana” grapes have been growing and thriving in Lombardy in northern Italy for centuries and make up a significant portion of the Italian export hit and white wine favorite Lugana.  This Mediterranean paradise, with its warm summers and mild winters, is ideal for producing wines of class and elegance.   Only not far from the picturesque southern shore of Lake Garda, between Brescia and Verona, are the vineyards of the “Azienda Agricola Brunello”, where the vines thrive on sandy, loamy and calcareous soils.     When poured, this Lugana DOC immediately shines with its bright light yellow and green reflections.   The nose immediately reveals aromas of citrus, ripe stone fruit and delicate vegetative notes.   Furthermore, the stone fruit can be perceived as a ripe peach, accompanied by wonderfully ripe grapefruit and apples.     On the palate, this round northern Italian appears with a fruity but fresh taste experience, which is supported by a well-balanced acid structure.   The finish is long-lasting and fresh, with delicate hints of stone fruit and herbs.   COLOR Radiant light yellow with green reflections. ODOR Citrus and stone fruits, such as ripe peaches accompanied by wonderfully ripe grapefruit and apples.     TASTE Fruity and fresh with delicate hints of stone fruit and herbs.   RECOMMENDED TO This Lugana from Brunello is a wonderful accompaniment to Mediterranean antipasti plates, baked feta cheese served with a crisp, fresh salad or sea bream with boiled potatoes.  But even as a soloist, this Lugana is a brilliant pacesetter for social evenings with friends and relatives.
