BM Signature - Pure Malt Whiskey Yellow Wine - Peaty

Bruno Mangin first distilled peated barley in 2017 and allowed it to age in 7 different types of barrels: Vin de Paille, Macvin, beer, Sauternes, Tequila, Pineau des Charentes and Yellow Wine. This cuvée "vin jaune" is the first of the series and is limited to only 1000 copies. Tasting notes The first nose is clean and precise. Bewitching and captivating, the first scents take on Japanese colors. Litters by a very cereal trend (rice wine = sake), medicinal peat (eucalyptus) is millimeter in contact with the striking floral (heather, hay). The mouth, on the other hand, expresses itself differently. Tender, calm, soothing, vibrant and covering: here are the top 5 adjectives that qualify the attack in the palate of flavors. It is ultimately the iodine, almost mineral and saline, which orchestrates the flavors of this admirable vintage. And then the finish in the mouth ... The smooth smoothness lines the oral cavity on the finish and relays the flavors of dried fruit in persistence (roasted cashew nuts). The Jura imprint is there, thanks to the use of cask of yellow wine for 3 years to accomplish this malted wonder. Cuvée, certainly daring, but really successful. Bruno Mangin, whiskey master and artist once again proves its ability to delight the palates of lovers of this distillate: whiskey peat. A gold mine under a limpid pale yellow color with green reflections.
