Hello in the wooden toy factory
We are, so to speak, the “fathers” of Fred. Konrad (left) and Michael (right) Mayer. We are engineers and what you might call tinkerers. Good toys are not good enough for us. Our workshop looks a bit like Master Eder's (not quite). This is where new ideas are created, prototypes are built and tested – all made from beech wood and with great attention to detail.
We are developing clever wooden toys like “Fred”, but also a train with several carriages that does not require any tracks thanks to its innovative and patented steering. The wooden toys are manufactured in cooperation with regional partners and in workshops for people with disabilities. Each piece is unique and of the highest quality. This is what we have stood for since the beginning. Promised.
Made in Bavaria. 100 percent natural wooden toys. For us, the term ecology is not a buzzword, but a matter of course. Beech wood from sustainable sources. Naturally untreated and yet well protected. Sealed by hand. We stand by what we promise because we know that we have extremely critical testers and customers: children.
We are and will remain a small manufacturer that does not allow any compromises, even in the smallest details. Whether it's soft-close mechanics or smooth running, tipping stability, all-wheel steering or the color configuration of the small wooden truck: we are in constant dialogue with parents, kindergartens, day care centers and our partners from the retail sector.
