Raw, pure organic beeswax

Beeswax, although less known than honey, is one of the hive products richest in benefits: the properties of beeswax are so numerous that this precious substance is still used today in various sectors. Used in nature by bees for the construction of honeycombs (i.e. the small cells where bees store honey, pollen and eggs), beeswax is produced by the ventral glands of worker bees, but only on condition that the hive reaches a temperature between 33°C and 36°C. In particular, to produce one gram of wax, 8/10 grams of honey are needed. It has strong emollient and anti-dehydrating properties: the lipids present in beeswax make it useful in the formulation of products for very dry and chapped skin, as they allow water loss from the skin to be retained and protected. In fact, wax has a chemical structure that is particularly similar to that of leather, furthermore it has the ability to form a protective film that resists even a few washes with detergents and detergents. A true protective agent, ideal, for example, for the hands, a part of our body frequently exposed to aggressive agents. Thanks to the presence of vitamin A, beeswax helps cell regeneration. Furthermore, beeswax is a great stimulus for wound healing and is the perfect ally to improve skin complications such as itching, dermatitis, eczema. Beeswax is also used in the food industry: as a film to wrap cheese for maturation or as a food additive to give shine. In addition, in pharmaceutical and cosmetic preparations, it frequently plays a thickening or emulsifying role in the formulation.
