Rosa Marchetti rice from Cascina Bosco is a variety of ancient semi-fine rice, particularly prized and sought after. It is an early and native Italian plant discovered in the 1960s by Domenico Marchetti, a farmer who accidentally identified a new variety of rice in one of his fields. It has a long stem and deep root system which, drawing nourishment from the richest layers of the soil, guarantees greater nutritional quality to the product.
