Organic Rosa Marchetti Brown Rice

Cascina Bosco's Rosa Marchetti Integrale rice is a variety of ancient semi-fine rice, particularly prized and sought after. It is an early and native Italian plant discovered in the 1960s by Domenico Marchetti, a farmer who accidentally identified it in one of his fields. It has a long stem and deep root system which, drawing nourishment from the richest layers of the soil, guarantees greater nutritional quality to the product. Its grain is semi-long and dark in color, which changes once in water to become pink. It is characterized by its earthy aromas, a flavor with a musky aftertaste and a crunchier texture in the center and soft around the edges. Ideal side dish for vegetable, legume and fish dishes, for cold risottos and rice salads.
