Café de Paris was created in Geneva in the 1930s by the daughter of a restaurant owner. It quickly became clear what Café de Paris is best suited for – as tenderly melting herb butter, Café de Paris butter, this spice mixture brings out the best in an entrecôte or a filet. And refined with cream, it is a true revelation as a warm Café de Paris sauce for fish. Typically French, our Café de Paris spice follows the classic recipe with ingredients such as turmeric, coriander and chili. All herbs come from controlled organic cultivation. As a café, the Paris dip, you simply mix the spice mixture with water, cream cheese and sour cream or sour cream. Café de Paris is also ideal for making barbecue butter or sauces of the same name or delicious marinades for meat and fish, as well as a great seasoning for gratins and mayonnaise.
