Organic Cassia powder is sometimes called 'colourless henna' but it is not henna. It can be used as a conditioner for giving your hair volume and shine, or you can mix it with your henna or indigo paste. Cassia is also sometimes called 'blonde henna' because if it is soaked in lemon juice overnight it can give a golden tint to blonde, light grey or light coloured hair. If Cassia is mixed into a paste and used immediately it has a conditioning effect only and does not give a golden colour. Cassia can be mixed with a small amount, say 10% henna to achieve a strawberry blonde shade on light coloured hair.
