Rufus, the bat that loved colors

Rufus was a bat. During the day he hung from the ceiling of his cave and slept. At night he left the cave and went hunting. One night he saw an open-air cinema, where a movie was being shown. It was the first time Rufus had seen bright colors… “Rufus” is a 1961 classic preceded by other outstanding albums in which Tomi Ungerer chose unconventional animals as protagonists: the boa “Críctor” (1958), the kangaroo “Adelaide” (1959) and the octopus "Emilio" (1960) also embodied intrepid adventures. In the story of the bat that adored colors, the author criticizes society's prejudices towards those who are different or deviate from the established canons.
