Laguiole bee design in orange G10 and black thread

We have rejuvenated the Laguiole by giving it a more streamlined forged fly. The G10 is a laminate of layers of fiberglass with an epoxy resin. This material was introduced in the 1950s. Made from G10 plates tinted in orange color with a thickness of 0.8 cm, shaped by hand to obtain its characteristic curve. A black spacer in G10 is placed between the plate and the spring. 2 stainless steel plates are engine-turned then riveted between the spring and the handle to ensure better closing flexibility and solidity in use. Blade in 12C27 steel (surgical stainless steel) with a thickness of 3 mm at the heel and a hardness of 56-57 Hrc. It is blunted (removal of beveled material) then sharpened and sharpened. The Spring and Bee are forged from the same piece of steel (Z20C13) then tempered and chiseled with a file. A blade stopper is fixed on the spring to prevent the blade from becoming dull when closing.
