It is not a soap in the classic sense of the term. It is used in preparation of the skin for exfoliation. It softens the dead cells found on the surface of the skin and which are responsible for its aging. It is the flagship product of the Hammam. Once a week, Moroccan women go to the Hammam and bring with them their horsehair glove black soap and their ghassoul. Traditionally, black soap is made from olive pomace oil (pulp and olive pits), water and potash. We enriched ours with argan oil and bitter orange essential oil. These oils are known for their nourishing, soothing, sanitizing and relaxing properties. Note black soap is very rich in vitamin E whose role is to fight against external aggressions. The skin is strengthened, purified, softened and hydrated.
