Les Ritournailes were created in 2022. We like slightly old-fashioned decorative objects so we can revisit them and bring them up to date. We put our heart into creating, manufacturing and marketing weather vanes, glitter balls, kits and pouches for concept stores. Our history ? I am Elisabeth and I work with my daughter Agathe, we are a duo and co-creators of the brand. Agathe is a product designer and draws the models and for my part, I specialize in the world of decorative objects and I manufacture and market weathervanes.
We are amazed by the unique gardens, art and nature. This passion for weather vanes has its origins in a garden from our childhood where we played with them in grandmother's gardens. We are attracted by breathing, wind and the sea which are vital elements and an infinite source of inspiration due to our Breton origins. The characters of Ritournailes reveal the energy and force of the wind called Zéphir, sometimes soft and pleasant, sometimes swirling and invigorating, like the breath of life.
Since 2017, we have had this desire to make weathervane characters and Agathe was inspired by her imagination to create the weathervane graphics. We worked alone and accompanied by professionals to draw the parts of these characters. The Ritournailes are launched in 2022, a family of joyful and colorful weathervanes which each have their name, an identity and a story.
Our products are manufactured locally and our suppliers are mainly French.
Our weather vanes are like artistic and original characters to be displayed outdoors (outdoor decoration, vegetable garden, balcony, terrace, garden).
They rotate with their blades to the rhythm of the wind. We would like to revisit this exterior decorative object which adorns gardens, balconies, vegetable gardens, and terraces in a more designer, poetic, original and contemporary way, as part of a sustainable and French approach. They decorate and bring life to gardens, balconies or terraces in a poetic way. They all have their own identity, a history and move with the force of the wind.
