Country: Nigeria Material: Wood Measurements: 23x17x33cm ____ African masks play an important role in traditional ceremonies and dance theater.   All African masks fall into one of four categories: ancestor spirits, mythological heroes, the ancestor-hero combination, and animal spirits.   This comes from the Nsukka area, the northern part of the north-central Igbo region of Nigeria.   This region has one of the oldest traditions making complex and diverse wooden masks. *All products are made by hand so there may be some variation in shape and size.
