Our version of an Ayurvedic face mask for glowing, clearer skin, this mask helps to heal, soothe and brighten the complexion. Ideal for: problematic skin/uneven skin tones/hyperpigmentation/acne/blemish-prone skin/oiliness. For this mask, we have integrated the healing flower properties of Calendula, which has been utilised since the ancient times and used in many ceremonies by the Ancient Greeks and the Ancient Romans. It is powerfully anti-inflammatory and soothes irritation. The Ayurvedic spice, Turmeric, is known for its ability to create a glowing complexion due to its antioxidant properties. Known as the ‘Golden Spice’, it helps to heal and provide glow to lacklustre skin. Also an ancient Ayurvedic ingredient, Sandalwood powder has powerful antiseptic properties, which minimises blemishes and is perfect for problematic skin. It helps to exfoliate the skin, making it also ideal for dealing with uneven tone and hyperpigmentation. Lemon oil is another powerful antioxidant for cleansing the skin. It is an ingredient used in Ancient Indian and Ancient Egyptian remedies to repair damaged cells. It clarifies the complexion, with powerful antioxidants and lots of Vitamin C. Bentonite Clay is known to flush the toxins and impurities from the skin. Packed with minerals, it evens out the skin over time. It is great for balancing sebum levels, making it wonderful for oily, problematic skin types. The Zinc Oxide within this mask heals tissues and helps the production of collagen and elasticity. Zinc is a mineral which is usually used to heal acne, cuts and burns as it speeds up the healing process. It helps to fight free radicals, protecting the skin’s lipids from pollution and other kinds of harmful exposure. Affirmation Ritual: I honour myself & my power. Ritual: We recommend mixing around 1 spoonful of face mask powder with 1 spoonful of water or floral water. However, you can adjust these measurements to achieve your desired consistency. Apply on the face and leave for 15-20 minutes. Wash off with warm water, using the Calendula as a gentle exfoliator. Gently pat dry. Scent: Very subtle lemon note. Shelf Life: 12M (The date we provide is based on the product being stored under recommended conditions, which is limited exposure to light in a cool environment).Due to the natural ingredients contained within the products, there may be a slight batch-to-batch variation in the colour, odour and consistency. However, the efficacy is not affected, this is simply due to them all being made by hand.
