Our peas and carrots are produced in the South-West of France. They arrive fresh at our premises and are cooked directly because peas don't like to wait. Our preserved peas are therefore all made from fresh raw materials from local agricultural cultivation. With a good homemade preserve, you can eat this delicious vegetable all year round! Our cooks reincorporate the cooking juices with chicken stock to make it “like at home”. This delicious dish is just waiting to be reheated. Carrot peas are a great kitchen classic. Regardless of age, region, budget, peas and carrots are loved by everyone! They accompany a good number of meats, poultry and sometimes fish. Peas are indeed a vegetable, and not a starchy food as is sometimes believed. Because although it contains a little more carbohydrates – it provides on average 10% carbohydrates – its composition is similar to that of other vegetables. What is the difference between a pea and a split pea, a question we get asked regularly? The split pea is very small, green and cut in half. It comes from the same plant that produces peas. The difference lies in the fact that the dried vegetable is harvested when ripe while the pea is picked before maturity. Preparation advice: Heat them in a saucepan with the juice for a few minutes then drain. Serve as an accompaniment to your favorite meats, all go well with its white or red presence. You can cook a good duck breast or roast pork with our canned carrot peas. You will also like to prepare them French style with a few small pieces of bacon and two hearts of sucrine.
