Like the most beautiful stories, this one begins at sea, on an old boat, where a man, Father Eugène, took advantage of his free time to survey the coast in search of fish. Eager to share the riches and flavors of the sea, Father Eugène shared his gourmet recipes with those around him. Everyone found in Father Eugène's dishes the authentic taste of yesteryear's fish. He took his brothers on board this adventure and decided to resell their production, to introduce high quality products. A true family heirloom, the recipes have been passed down from generation to generation, with authenticity and passion as the sole watchword.
Father Eugène's treasures are now made in Binic in the Ateliers du Grand Lejon, the last Binic salting and smoking wholesaler. Heirs of this know-how since 1953, the employees of Grand Lejon perpetuate the tradition and recipes of this character to whom we owe many gourmet products.
HASthe head of the ship, the 4th generation, embodied by Henri Montagnier, perpetuates the know-how of his ancestors and brings the products of Grand Lejon and Père Eugène to as many people as possible.
